Just In: PDP chieftain, Biakpara reportedly loses wife

A foremost former military wing commander and astute Burutu politician, a chieftain of the People Democratic Party, PDP, P.Y Biakpara reportedly lost his wife, Mrs Comfort Biakpara on Sunday morning.

The incident allegedly occurred January 2, 2022, a day later when she put to birth a bouncing baby boy in Asaba, Delta state.

The incident had thrown well-wishers, political associates and friends of the former military commander into mourning.

The death of Mrs Comfort Biakpara was described as a surprise as she was sound and hearty after delivery.

The unfortunate incident had been described as a big blow to Ijaw nation, Burutu LGA and Tuomo kingdom.

The body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue in Asaba, Delta state. The funeral service is yet to be announced by the husband’s family.
