Renowned Gbaramatu Kingdom born peace and development advocate, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has commended the good and peace loving people of Benikrukru Community for their peaceful resolution of the land dispute in the community.

Chief Mulade, the Ibe-Serimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, equally extended his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II Aketegbe, Agadagbe, Pere of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom for his fatherly role to ensure peaceful coexistence among all Gbaramatuans.

The renowned environmental rights activist commendation came after the outcome of the recent meeting held on the 30th October, 2024 at Benikrukru community town hall on the above-referenced matter.

The meeting was attended by leaders and stakeholders representing all organs such as Executives led by Comrade Joel Tonjoh, Elders forum, Women Leaders, Benikrukru Youth President and others.

He stated, “I am pleased to report that the salient issues bordering on the subject were thoroughly deliberated and resolved amicably. It was agreed that the business initiative by Engr. Mathew Tonlagha, Managing Director of Maton Oil and Gas Service Limited, is welcomed by the community. The community resolved that the land in question was granted to him for the said investment endeavours and not sold, in consonance with an age-long land tenure system in the community.

“It is pertinent to state that this gesture adopted by Benikrukru Community will guarantee and foster development and ensure the welfare of all community members.

The global peace ambassador Chief Sheriff Blessing Mulade equally suggests that should Engr. Mathew Tonlagha, Managing Director of Maton Oil & Gas Service Limited requires additional land for this laudable initiative, the community shouldn’t hesitate to oblige him, in the spirit of mutual cooperation, partnership and sustainable development of the community.

However, Mulade fully endorsed and commended the leadership of the Benikrukru community, led by Comrade Joel Tonjoh, in their unwavering efforts in resolving this matter. “Am deeply appreciative of the community’s unity and commitment toward ensuring the actualization of this invaluable investment for substantial growth and benefits to the entire Gbaramatu Kingdom.

“I want to sincerely tender my unreserved apology to the good and peace loving people of the Benikrukru Community, especially to the Executives, Elders, Women and our dynamic youth for the understanding of making the media publication without exhausting all available means of engagement,

“It is imperative to state that your guidance and show of love in fostering harmony and progress within our community is deeply appreciative, he stated.
