LASTMA officer receives N100k as Community Service Reward

Lateef Kabir, a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA official has been rewarded with cash price of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) for his commitment to community development.

Lateef was gifted the cash price by Chief Ajayi Adekunle, the C. E. O of Ajayi Adekunle and co, for an uncommon approach to work at easing traffic congestion exhibited on Sunday, 23 of April, 2023.

He was spotted on social media using hand to desilting flood water on the road after heavy rainfall on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Odo Iya Alaro Bridge towards Ojota area of Lagos.

The officer went out to ensure there is free flow of traffic which this attracted commendations from the public.

The Director Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA , Mr Adebayo Taofiq thanks Mr Ajayi Adekunle for his kind gesture in recognizing the good act by Officer Lateef Kabir.

Mr Lateef Kabir thanked Mr Ajayi Adekunle for the show of love and appreciation.

According to Lateef Kabir, he stated “I was just doing my job by ensuring free flow of traffic under heavy rain on that particular day without knowing that all eyes were on me”.

However, the LASTMA director, Md Adebayo Taofiq urged motorists, particularly commercial bus drivers to always obey traffic personnel on duty to avoid traffic bottleneck and engender free flow of traffic at any location in any area of the state.
