LG Poll: Bebenimibo Appeals To Oborewori, PDP Leaders To Adopt Him As Chairmanship Candidate Of Warri South-West

Following the upcoming local government elections in Delta State, a chairmanship aspirant in Warri South-West local government, Comrade Prince Meshack Bebenimibo has appealed to the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborewori, the Warri South-West political leadership, Elders and PDP Exco to consider him as the Peoples Democratic Party Chairmanship flag bearer in Warri South-West local government Council.
He stated this in a statement which he signed by himself and a copy was forwarded to Congress news on Monday.
The statement reads, “My dear esteemed Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Warri South West Leaders, Elders and PDP Exco to please consider me as your preferred Candidate of our great party, PDP in this forthcoming Warri South West Local Government Council election.
He, however pointed out the deep rooted pains the council is currently facing and his zeal in proffering sustainable solutions to the internecine problems bedeviling the Warri South-West local government.
Meanwhile, he urged the governor, the local government leaders, ward leaders and party leadership to please consider and adopt him as the party flag bearer to serve the council with his burning desire.
He further stressed, “I have come to serve my beloved people, the patriotic Niger Deltans in the Warri South West Local Government council, my good people that are in this endless struggle for a good standard of living and are in dare need for survival to feed in our local government council.
“I will give out soft loans to small and medium scale businesses.
I will do youths and women empowerment programmes.
“I will make sure I build industrial warehouses to store food for the youth and women in the length and breath of Warri South West Local Government.
“I will be Accountable, Transparent, and be Trusted. I will create massive employment Opportunities. l will enculturate the principle of the rule of law, equality and fairness in our local administrative sector in the council.
We will give out bursaries and scholarships to our teaming students.
He berated what he described as a high level of poverty and lack of infrastructural Development in the Warri South West Local Government Area.
Bebenimibo who was a former youth president of Kunukunuma Community, is a motivator and an author of motivational books, he stated emphatically that it was his turn to occupy the council chairman position.
The chairmanship aspirant, emphasised unequivocally that he had what it takes to bring all-round meaningful development to Warri South West Local Government Council, adding he is equal to the task.
He promised to renovate the dilapidated schools and build more with modern facilities.
While vowing to serve the council with honesty, sincerity and integrity, Bebenimibo appealed to all stakeholders to support his burning desire to build Warri South West Local Government Council an industrial hub in Delta state.
The son of a foremost Gbaramatu leader, late Monday Bebenimibo, aka OKOROWOSO, a freedom fighter and Chief Priest in Kunukunuma Community, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
“However, it is my turn to occupy the Council Chairmanship position -he reiterated.
“I pour out my enduring pains of a high level of poverty and infrastructural lacks and invironmental degradation in the Warri South West Local Government Area.
While vowing to serve the council with honesty, sincerity and integrity, Bebenimibo appealed to all and sundry to support his ambition, adding he had a burning desire to add value to the lives and destinies of people in the council.
“The level of poverty and lack of infrastructural Development in the Warri South West Local Government area is appalling and needs urgent attention. That is why I am contesting for the Chairmanship position and by the grace of God it is my turn to occupy that position. I am the right man for the job.
“I have been to places across Nigeria where you will see meaningful local governmental projects done by Local Government Chairmen.
“My Father, Monday Bebenimibo aka OKOROWOSO was a freedom fighter and Chief Priest who fought for the emancipation of Niger Deltans whose legacy lives on.
“During the Niger Delta struggle, while Okorowoso was the Chief Priest in Kunukunuma Community, he never lost any of his foot soldiers he prayed for. Though, today he has kicked the bucket, he deserves some accolades and reward for his children.
“Therefore, I appeal to all and sundry to support my ambition. I have a burning desire to add value to lives and destinies of people in our local government.
“As a creative thinker, I will make sure youths of Warri South West Local Government are carried along by creating a conducive environment where I will train and empower them to become global entrepreneurs.
“The elderly men and women will receive monthly stipends and empowerment.
“We will bring massive development to the communities that make up Warri South West Local Government Areas.
“If due process is not followed in the selection of candidates, some aggrieved people will seek legal means to show their grievances in the Court which might lead to Court injunctions.
“I have come to serve with honesty, sincerity and integrity”, he added.
