Mbaka wants Govs, Lawmakers to earn same N62,000 minimum wage

Catholic Priest Ejike Mbaka advocates for equal pay for all civil servants, including governors and national assembly members, at the proposed minimum wage of N62,000.

He criticized the secrecy surrounding legislators’ salaries and the large allowances they receive, suggesting that the masses in the villages deserve such benefits more.

Mbaka urges the government to swiftly address the minimum wage issue to avoid another strike, warning that failure to do so could lead to unforeseen consequences. He emphasizes the need for fairness and equal treatment for all civil servants, regardless of position or status.
