Foremost Niger Delta rights activist, Comrade Ozobo Austin, has thrown his weight behind moves by the National Assembly to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over insecurity in the country.

The rights advocate said looking at the level of terrorist attacks on major facilities, kidnapping and incessant killing of citizens in the country, there was no sign of Buhari being in control of the security situation in the country.

According to the activist, terrorists and bandits might overrun Nigeria before the 2023 general election if Buhari is still allowed to preside over Nigeria.

Ozobo maintained that looking at the various attacks on the federal capital city, Abuja, there is a clear move or plan by terrorists and bandits to overrun the seat of power in the country.

“We have seen from the attack on Kuje prison Abuja, Thursday attempt to invade the federal capital territory, Abuja, Nigeria Navy school attack, Buhari’s convoy attack and others that Buhari is no longer in control of the country’s security.

“I urged all members of the National Assembly, not only opposition members to summon the courage to impeach Buhari to save Nigeria from the impending implosion.”
