•Says plot against Tompolo will fail

Niger Delta rights activist Comrade Daniel Ezekiel has faulted the meeting between some Ijaw Ex-agitators and Itsekiri leaders over pipeline surveillance awarded to the leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, High Chief Dr Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo.

This was contained in a statement signed by Comrade Daniel Ezekiel in penultimate week, condemning the call on NNPCL to decentralize Pipeline surveillance contract.

The activist, in a release stated, “It is pertinent that the attention of Mr President, Governor of Delta, Ondo and security agencies are drawn to the erroneous joint press statement made by some self-acclaimed Itsekiri leaders, and some Ex-agitators Kingsley Kuku and Bibopere Ajube in Arogbo kingdom, Ondo state in penultimate week.

“This imprudent flare is recipe that tell unsound minds and it’s a clear call for crisis between the peace loving Ijaws and their Itsekiris”, he said.

“It would be pertinent to ask at this point, which contract should be shared between Kuku and Bibopere”?.

“Because, the last time l checked, Arogbo axis which they came from has no single drop of oil and pipeline, so what are these elements going to protect ?.

He narrated, “it is a well known fact that the Olu of Warri, has the biggest chunk of the job that spans across Delta , Edo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers states. What stop these hypocrite Itsekiri leaders from also demanding for the decentralization of their kinsman job?, if they are sincere and truly want fairness.
Without mincing words, their press statement is born out of age long hatred for Ijaws, which if allowed to continue will be detrimental to the well-being of the state.

“Action they say speak louder than voice. In the jaundice press release, both sides proclaim fidelity for peace, which is a clear opposite to their body language and outburst”.

“Chief Ayiri Emami, an Itsekiri son is another beneficiary of the surveillance job, but nobody is talking about why his job should be splitted.
This call is highly motivated by greed and selfish, he said.

However, he noted that “From my findings, their key reason why there is so much animosity, backbiting and hatred towards Tantita, he is not the compromising type with which Tompolo is fighting oil smugglers and other economic sabotaging acts, which these guys are deeply into.

“Before Itsekiri leaders will cry for the removal of dirty in the eyes of Tompolo, an Ijaw man, let them remove that of their kinsmen first.
A word they say is enough for the wise”, he asserted.
