N’Delta Advocate Urges FG to Publish Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway Plan

A prominent Niger Delta good governance advocate,

Prince Klintin Bibaikefie has called on the Federal Government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release the master plan for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway.

Bibaikefie’s request comes amid speculation that the original route, which would have passed through the Niger Delta region, had been altered. The proposed highway is expected to connect Lagos to Calabar, traversing the Niger Delta region.

The advocate emphasised the importance of adhering to the original plan, which would provide essential road access to the Atlantic Coast, addressing 80% of the Niger Delta’s issues and unlocking Nigeria’s Blue Economy.

He urged the Federal Ministry of Works to publish the road plan to confirm the truth and alleviate concerns of neglect and exclusion of oil-bearing communities in the Niger Delta.
