Okowa aides Ezekiel, Ozobo, others pay condolence visit to Sheriff over his mother’s death

The Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Delta on security matters, Comrade Daniel Ezekiel, and the Special Assistant to the governor on political matters, Comrade Ozobo Austin, Comrade Peres Bibaikefie former PDP aspirant of Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu and Comrade Onduku Oyinbi, the publisher of Niger Delta mirror online have paid a condolence visit to Chief Sheriff Mulade, a Niger Delta environmental activist and one time PDP aspirant of Delta State House of Assembly, Warri Southwest at his residence, following the demise of his mother, Mrs. Ebikeseye Mulade (nee) Timiyan on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, Comr. Ozobo expressed shock over the sudden death of Mama Ebikeseye Mulade, nothing that Mama lived an examplary life worthy of emulation.Ozobo consoled Sheriff by narrated his ordeal on how he lost his mother in 2018, while he was contesting for Delta State House of Assembly, like that of the death of Mama Sheriff who passed on when her son is contesting for governorship in Delta 2023.

The Okowa’s aide, urged Chief Sheriff to take solace in the word of God, adding that Mama is not death but sleeping in the Lord.In the same vein, Onduku charged Chief Sheriff to take heart, stressing that Mama died may be because she had finished her assignment on earth.

He further thanked God for given Sheriff to ljaw nation through Mama, adding that what is required now is for the children to sustain the good legacy of Mama and to give her a befitting funeral rites, Onduku stated.

Again, Prince Bibaikefie appealed to Chief Sheriff Mulade to be strong in the Lord, stressing that God giveth and He taketh.

Comrade Ezekiel while consoling chief Sheriff said Mama was a lioness and iroko who gave birth to a lion like him to save Ijaw nation from the Nigerian oppressive government.He wished Mama goodbye and maintained that Mama’s death remained a setback in Ijaw nation.

Ezekiel assured Chief Sheriff that all his friends will be on ground come Friday 26th November, 2021, to give him the moral support to lay his Mama to eternal rest.

While praying God’s uncommon grace to fall on Sheriff and other siblings to make greater exploit, Ezekiel noted that Mama shouldn’t have died, especially now that her supports were needed in the family.Responding, Chief Sheriff thanked Ezekiel, Ozobo, Onduku, Bibaikefiye and others for the love shown towards him and his siblings for the visit.

He sincerely appreciated Ozobo and others for the condolence visit.Sheriff, noted the desire of us is for our parents to live long in order to enjoy the fruit of their labour but when man proposes, God disposed.

He narrated:” l never expected my mother to leave at this time. Like Onduku said he lost his mother when he was 8, I was just 13 years when l lost my father. Since then It was this my mother that took care of me and my siblings over the past 35years. There was no sign that her little leg pain would led her to death. I never expected it but God decided and who am l to question God.”

” Your visit has strengthen me and my siblings to stay strong. Thank you for the show of love and l sincerely appreciated you people for coming to sympathize with me, despite your busy schedules. May God bless you all for your kind gesture,” Sheriff remarked.

However, the funeral of late Mama Ebikeseye Mulade will be taken place on Friday 26th November, 2021 at Kokodiagbene community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West LGA of Delta State.
