JUST IN: Okowa appoints new DESOPADEC board

The governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has appointed a new board for the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

The chairman, managing director and other members were reportedly screened on Tuesday by the Delta State House of Assembly which was presided over by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, doubling as the governor-elect.

The new board consists of the chairman, managing director, four executive directors and fifteen members.

Among the new board screened are: Olorogun John Nani, Chairman, Chief Festus Ochonogor, Managing Director, Mr. Efele Eyewu Nicholas, Executive Director, Mr. Favour Izoukumor, Executive Director, Hon. Chief Taleb A.O. Tebite, Executive Director and Mr. Oghenekome Reginald Okpobor, Executive Director.

Others are, Chief Julius Egbedi, Member, Mr. Sylvester Ovbije, Member, Mr. Goru Jonathan Oghenekaro, Member, Mr Azuka Enebeli, Member, Dr. Charles Olisa, Member, Mrs. Cordilia N. Anyangwu, Member, Mr Sonny Ofe, Member, Mr Victor Okemena Egboh, Member, and Mr Spencer Okpoye, Member.

However, the new board is expected to be inaugurated before the close of Okowa’s administration.
