Okowa’s aide, Ezekiel congratulates Okpoye on DESOPADEC appointment, Describes him as a true son of Egbema

A Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on security matters, Comrade Daniel Ezekiel has congratulated Hon. Spencer Okpoye on his appointment as commissioner representing Ijaw nationality in the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

This was contained in a statement that he signed and sent to a journalist on Thursday.

Ezekiel, however, described Okpoye’s appointment as one of the best appointments the outgoing governor, His Excellency Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has ever done.

He asserted that Okpoye is dependable, detribalised, and a man of integrity, adding that his ability to serve his people in a good capacity is not in doubt.

He said, “What a great news!, What a great achievement! What a great positive step for my community.
Words cannot express my joy as Hon. Spencer Okpoye becomes representative of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Delta State Oil producing area commission ( DESOPADEC).

“It does not come to me as a surprise this obvious leap, because when talking about leaders who take the progress and development of my community, Opuama, Warri North LGA, Delta State as a DO or Die, he comes among the top.

“Sir, let this assignment ignite more fire in you to serve the people of Delta State and our dear people.”

Comrade Ezekiel also thanked His Excellency Sen Ifeanyi Okowa for the laudable appointment of Okpoye as a member of the new DESOPADEC board.

He further commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo and Alhaji Emmanuel Omoko, (the Bolowei 1 of Egbema kingdom) for key roles played in the appointment of Okpoye.

The SSA called on Delta Ijaws, Egbema youths, stakeholders and leaders to give him their total support to enable him attract development to the areas of courage.
