Tragedy as young female student sets school on fire, kills 19 over cell phone

A yet to be identified school girl has set her school ablaze, killing nine students after her mobile phone was seized from her in South America.

According to report, the angry teenage girl was angry that her phone was taken away from her as a punishment for seeing an older man.

The incident that occurred at Mahdia Secondary school in Guyana left nineteen people dead.

It was asserted that doors were locked overnight to prevent students from going out.

A statement from the Guyana fire and rescue service added that the blaze was maliciously set.

The incident was however confirmed by the National Security Adviser, Gerald Gouveia, who maintained that the suspect, a pupil at the school was accused of setting the dorm on fire after being punished for having affairs with an older man.
