The Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State, Comrade Ozobo Austin has sent a condolence message to the family of late Evang. Dr. Samuel Audu Elaweremi.

Ozobo, said Elaweremi was a beautiful bride when he was alive, adding that a star is falling off, the sky at a time collaborative efforts were required in conquering common enemies of Ijaw nation.

“I heard much about Elaweremi but it was very unfortunate that I didn’t set my eyes on him before he passed on. I was told he was generous, kind and God fearing.

“He was rated as one of the best accountants in Bayelsa State. He was among the first persons that built a gigantic edifice in Ayakoromo community. His love for Ayakoromo growth and youths’ supportive programmes were quite enormous.

“Still, we lost him! what a painful lost. His death is an injury in our mind. Ijaw nation as lost an icon. A personality and quintessential leader has left without a farewell. There is a saying that good things don’t last, it is very unfortunate.

“I commiserate with the children, family and the entire Ayakoromo community on the death of Evang. Elaweremi. It is a big blow, rather one as to take solace in God.

We will forever remember him for his good works and enduring legacies. It is my prayer for God’s fortitude to come upon the bereaved family to bear the irreparable lost,” Ozobo lamented.
