Following the demise of the Peoples Democratic Party, the woman leader of Burutu Local Government Area, Mrs Helen Layagbe, the Ozobo Burutu LGA chairmanship campaign organisation has sympathised with the deceased family, describing her death as unfortunate and shocking.

Ozobo made this assertion via his campaign organisation’s spokesman Mr Afore Theodore, stressing that Mrs Layagbe’s death is a big blow to the party in Burutu and the state at large.

He said the news of the PDP women leader, Mrs Layagbe came to him as a shock, narrating that she served humanity with all diligence and with the fear of God.

The Burutu chairmanship aspirant further described the late Mrs Layagbe as a woman leader per excellent, gentle, milk, calm, friendly, God-fearing and outspoken.

He said her contributions to the party’s success in the 2023 general elections in Delta State can’t be overemphasised, adding that Mrs Layagbe died at a time when her wealth of experience is highly needed in the party, especially now that the state LGA elections are drawing close.

Ozobo stated that despite she had departed, her soul and her good works would live on and would be forever remembered.

He prayed to God almighty to grant the family of the late Mrs Layagbe the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, adding that the Burutu leadership and the party would stand by them during the burial and beyond.
