Ozobo congratulates Funkekeme on birth anniversary, says he is a superstar in Delta politics

The Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on political matters, Comrade Ozobo Austin has congratulated Rt. Solomon Funkekeme, the senior political adviser to the governor of Delta state on his birth anniversary.

The Okowa’s appointee asserted in a statement signed by himself and sent to a Congress correspondent on Friday.

Ozobo said Funkekeme who was a former deputy speaker and current Senior political adviser to Governor Okowa and Director-General of PDP Delta State Campaign Council 2023 is a superstar in Delta Politics.

According to him, Funkekeme is one of the most successful politicians in the state that had consecutively occupied various high political offices right from 1999 to date.

He asserted that the Burutu people, Delta state and Ijaw nation at large are proud of him, adding that his leadership prowess and commitment to duty had taken him this far.

The governor’s aide maintained that Funkekeme’s commitment and hard work towards PDP’s victory in the state can’t be overemphasized.

He, however, wished Funkekeme God’s blessings, good health and more achievements as he marked his wonderful birthday.

It would be recalled that Funkekeme who hailed from the Ojobo Community in Burutu LGA of the state was a three times member of the Delta State House of Assembly and was elected as the Deputy Speaker in the House.

He was elected into the House in 1999 under the political platform of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and was made the Minority Leader in the House in the same vein.

He was appointed as secretary of the Delta State PDP Campaign Council in 2011 and later served as the Commissioner for Works to the Delta State Government from 2011 to 2015.

He further became the Director general of communication of the PDP Campaign Council in the state in 2015 and was appointed as the Chairman of the Governing Board, Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

However, he also became two times director-general of the PDP Campaign Council in Delta State in 2019 and 2023.
