Ozobo mourns HRM Ayemi-botu, sympathises with family, Seimbiri Kingdom

Following the death of HRM Pere Charles Ayemi- Botu (JP,) OFR, alias Lion of the Niger, Paramount Ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area, the Ozobo Campaign Organisation has expressed its deepest sympathy to his family and the Seimbiri Kingdom.
Ozobo, speaking during the condolence visit at the late monarch’s Warri residence on Tuesday said the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta had lost a pillar and a pathfinder.
Congress learnt that he was the first Executive Chairman of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON) and the Life Patron of the body.
His words, “We have lost an illustrious traditional ruler HRM Pere Charles Ayemi-botu, of Okpokunou Mein Kingdom Burutu LGA. His demise is devastating and unspeakable. He was a fighter, through which he earned the title, of the lion of the Niger Delta.
“He was a traditional ruler par excellence. A no-nonsense man, who speaks to power without a compromise. We have truly lost a pilar, and iroko has fallen. His death has created a vacuum in the Niger Delta leadership.
“He died at a time when we needed his wealth of experience most. He was a father, a leader, a mentor and a dynamic patriot. His loss is a big blow to Okpokunou Mein-Kingdom, Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta at large.
“He was the first Executive Chairman of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON) and a Life Patron of the body.
“He will be forever remembered. His legacy will continue to endure. I pray for God’s fortitude upon his family, kingdom, traditional council of the state and well-wishers to bear the irreparable loss.”
