Panic as Boko Haram militants threaten to invade Abuja

There is palpable apprehension in Abuja, Nigeria federal capital on Wednesday, following a threat by Boko Haram miliants to attack the city.

It was gathered that operatives of the Nigerian Military are on high alert in Abuja, over the reported planned attacked by Boko Haram terrorists and bandits.

According to military intelligence, on Tuesday, that terrorists were planning to invade the Nigerian capital through the Abuja-Keffi expressway, to carry out the attacks.

This is coming barely 24 hours after bandits invaded the University of Abuja, abducting staff members of the school and their families.

However, military has been beef up in strategic positions, security checkpoints has been put in place to observe, repel and arrest suspects.
