PEBEC, SABER Engage Stakeholders On Ease-of-Doing-Business Reforms In Borno
By Micheal Chukwuebuka
The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), in collaboration with the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) Project, has held a stakeholder engagement and town hall meeting in Maiduguri aimed at strengthening ease-of-doing-business reforms in Borno State.
The forum brought together private sector operators, government officials, investors, and business leaders to discuss strategies for improving the business climate, attracting investment, and promoting economic growth.
Participants explored key reform areas, including investment promotion, transparency in government fees and procedures, trade facilitation, faster resolution of commercial disputes, and the adoption of Regulatory Impact Assessment frameworks to support evidence-based policymaking.
PEBEC noted that stronger collaboration between government and the private sector remains essential to creating a more competitive economy capable of driving investment, job creation, and sustainable development.
