Police Arrest Owner Of Dog That Cause Death Of 30-year-old Engineer In Kwara

The men of Nigeria police, Kwara State Police Command has arrested the owner of a German Shepherd dog, which caused the death of a 30-year-old Engineer in Ilorin.

The deceased, simply identified as Mohammed Faworaja, died after he was chased by the dog while going on an errand around the Asa Dam Warah/Osin area of Ilorin.

Congress learnt that Faworaja hit his chest on an electric pole while running and violently fell.

However, people who witnessed the tragic incident immediately chased the dog away and rushed him to the nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead of internal bleeding.

“The dog, a German shepherd, got loose, and chased the deceased who hit his chest against an electric pole. He died of internal bleeding, and the sardine he went to buy was seen beside the pole,” a source said.

“You need to hear the dad speak during one of the prayers organised for him, having retired and handed everything to him. The family is devastated,” the source added.

The incident was affirmed by the Spokesperson of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said investigation is ongoing.

“The owner of the dog has been arrested, and the matter is being investigated,” the PPRO added.
