Police asked to Arrest Individuals Using Military Stickers, Insignias
By Miracle Esegha
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has issued a directive to the Nigeria Police Force to arrest and prosecute individuals using military stickers and insignias without authorization.
In a statement signed by Director Defence Information, Turkur Gusau, the DHQ reiterated the ban on the illegal use of military stickers and insignias, particularly on unauthorized persons and vehicles.
The military noted that despite previous warnings, some individuals continue to disregard the ban, prompting the decision to involve the police in enforcing the directive.
The DHQ stated that the use of military stickers and insignias to evade security checks has become rampant, necessitating the need for stricter enforcement.
Individuals found using military stickers or insignias without permission will be arrested and prosecuted, as the military seeks to maintain the integrity and security of its symbols.
