Pondi appreciates Oborevwori, Bago, Guwor, Burutu leaders, Constituents, others for their massive presence in Thanksgiving Service

The member representing the Burutu federal constituency, RT. Hon. Julius Pondi has expressed gratitude to the governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori, the governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Umar Mohammed Bago, members of the National Assembly and members of their entourage for graciously honouring his invitation.

He further appreciated Burutu leaders, stakeholders, and constituents of Burutu Federal Constituency for honouring him with their massive attendance at the Thanksgiving Church Service and reception for his victory in the 2023 general elections to the House of Representatives, electoral tribunal and appeal court victories.

This is according to a statement signed by himself and made available to a Congress correspondent on Thursday.

The statement reads, “It is with a heart full of joy and deep gratitude that I wish to extend to my people of Burutu Federal Constituency my appreciation and affection for honouring me with their attendance at my thanksgiving Church Service and reception for my victory in the 2023 general elections to the House of Representatives, electoral tribunal and appeal court victories.

“I pay special tributes and gratitude to my governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori, the governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Umar Mohammed Bago and members of their entourage for graciously honouring my invitation, I am indeed grateful for your presence.

“My sincere gratitude is also extended to my serving and past colleagues from the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who attended my thanksgiving ceremony to join me in offering thanks to God on the day of celebration.

“Additionally, the attendance at the events by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor and his colleagues as well as the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Abraham Ngobere and his colleagues gave me immense joy and appreciation.

“In a similar vein, I salute and appreciate the attendance of my traditional rulers, His Royal Majesty, Capt (King) Joseph I. Timiyan (PhD), the Ebenanowei of Ogulagha Kingdom and his colleagues from the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers for their goodness, show of love and prayers for me.

“I also extend my gratitude to members of my immediate and extended family for standing strongly behind me; members of my campaign organization and members of our political party, the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP for your support these past years. It is with your support, hard work, and prayers that I have come this far in my life’s journey.

“I want to thank the leadership and the entire people of my dear Sokebolou and Yokiri communities for demonstrating that we are peace-loving and for providing a hospitable atmosphere for the successful hosting of the event.

“My gratitude lastly is to members of the Local Organizing Committee whose organizational prowess culminated in the success of the much talked about event.
The honour done to me shall remain etched in my memory, as I am indeed humbled by the show of solidarity.

“It is my fervent prayer that God shall continue to look kindly on our collective aspirations and grant us social and economic emancipation through the instrumentality of legislative excellence.

“I should again also re-emphasise that I remain resolute to place the welfare of my people in the constituency over and above all considerations as my article of faith in the social contract I have with you all through your ious endorsement of my candidacy at the election. I shall endeavour to pursue the implementation continuously of the ectoelectoralmises I made for the betterment of our people and homeland.

“Therefore, I canvas your continued support and prayers as I confront the challenges that afflict the sensibilities of our people.
The tasks before me at the National Assembly are varied, and despite their complexities, I shall remain undaunted and determined to reach and attain our goals.

“I shall be most indebted to you all for your valued cooperation through attainable but progressive suggestions that would energise my resolute commitment to continue to serve you.
Once again, I extend to you my appreciation for your support these past years and its continuation in the coming years.
On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire people of the constituency, I implore you all to accept my warmest greetings and gratitude. May God continue to bless you all in your various endeavours.”
