Postponement: Bayelsa APC Guber Campaigns In Comatose

The main reasons for the postponement of the APC Gubernatorial campaign flag-off has surfaced.

Sources close to the APC had informed that the Vice President, Kashim Shettima is avoiding any tag of embarrassment over the recent court disqualification of Chief Timipre Sylva as Candidate of the party.

This is a tactical withdrawal because Sylva is yet to secure a Stay of Execution of the judgment and as such, going ahead with the rally may be in disobedience to the Court.

According to the source, Sylva as at today is not a candidate of APC in the election and it will amount to a mere jamboree and ridicule to proceed with the rally.

The Vice President had therefore, applied wisdom to keep Timipre Sylva and his team at arms length.

Our source also confirmed that Chief Timipre Sylva, had been running helter-skelter for days looking for money to run the flag off.

The Timipre Sylva Guber Campaign Council is now in disarray for lack of funds as many potential financiers had withdrew their support for the obvious reasons of not seeing any future with Sylva’s governorship ambition.
