Following the ongoing petition seeking to nullify the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential election petition court, sitting in Abuja, is set to deliver its final judgement.

Justice Haruna Tsammani led a five-member panel that ordered all parties involved to appear before the court on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, to adopt their final judgement.

The court in a notice sent to all parties invited them to adopt their written address concerning the petition that was lodged against President Tinubu by Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, and Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party.

Recall, according to the Electoral body, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had earlier pronounced Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

INEC stated that Tinubu scored 8, 794, 726 votes to knock down major contenders, Atiku, 6, 984,520, and Peter Obi, 6, 101, 533.

However, the outcome of the election didn’t go well with Atiku and Obi, as both approached the court to nullify the Election victory.

Atiku and Obi in their different petition claimed they won the presidential election, and challenged Tinubu’s eligibility to contest the Election.

However, all parties will know their fate on Tuesday, August 1, as the court is set to rule on the final judgement.
