President Tinubu to Attend 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York

President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is expected to attend the 2026 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York this September, where he will present Nigeria’s reform agenda and participate in high-level discussions on energy, education, and healthcare.
Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, confirmed the President’s participation following a meeting at the State House.
President Tinubu also met with BUA Group Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, who commended the administration’s economic reforms and pledged continued support toward stabilising food prices, as well as Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and the National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
