A Niger Delta leader and ex-warlord Comr Ebis Moni on Saturday advised the FCT minister Nyesom Wike over alleged plan to remove Siminalayi Fubara as governor of Rivers State.

The Ijaw leader who lauded Wike for playing the lead in making Fubara a governor of Rivers State said, he (Wike) should maintain his good records and stop fighting a fight that would dive the state into a great security challenge.

This is according to a statement signed by himself which a copy of it was sent to Congress correspondent in Abuja on Saturday.

The statement reads, “I want to advice the immediate past governor of Rivers State and the minister of FCT,  Nyesom Wike to tread softly on the planed removal of the governor of Rivers State Sim Fubara. We as Ijaw people worldwide consider it as a coup against Ijaw Nation. It is unacceptable to majority of Rivers people and Niger Delta in general. it’s too early for a Godfather to fight his God son for just barely six months after swearing- in.

“I’m coming up with this peace of advice because the way it’s going,  this crisis will cause a serious tension in Rivers State if caution is thrown to the wind. I know very well that this was how the Warri crisis started and everyone knew how that crisis cause serious destruction in Warri and its environ.

“The Niger Delta region as a whole don’t want to experience such crisis any longer. I thought Wike was once a peace advocate why trying to cause trouble in his own state and government because of little, little things.

“It is my view that Wike should take it easy, we are aware that he made him a governor in the state but despite that he should give Fubara some free hands to operate as a governor. Don’t dictate for him. You were made a governor by Rotimi Amaechi but despite he made you, he didn’t dictate for you. You fought him and seize the state political structures from him. Amaechi never plot to impeach you. Please think about it.

“The political conflict of the duo if it persists, could threaten the peaceful co-existence of Ikweres and Ijaws in Rivers State.

“As MEINBUTU board of trustee chairman (BOT), l urge Barr Nyesom Wike to please give up the fight to ensure peaceful and rancor free atmosphere in the state till 2027”.

Despite we appreciate Wife’s good works, we will not also abandon our son Sim Fubara to be humiliated and consumed by the roaring forks.

In a related development, Comr EBIS Moni also thanked and appreciated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo and the MD Tantita  Security Service Ltd, Chief Kestin Pondi for the prompt and timely payment of workers or staff.
