Thirteen officers have been detained by the Rivers State Police Command for wearing inappropriate clothing.

The state commissioner of police, Olatunji Disu, made this statement during a live Broadcast on a Port Harcourt radio station that was arranged by the Force Public Relations Department.

The Monitoring Unit’s statewide patrol operations resulted in the arrest of the policemen.

“The heads of the Divisions where these policemen serve would also be held vicariously liable for their subordinates’ actions.

“The 13 arrested officers have been detained pending further investigation,” he said.

Disu gave the public an assurance that the case would not be ignored when speaking about the terrible murder of SP Bako Angbashim, the late Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ahoada Police Division, by suspected members of the Iceland cult, who were allegedly commanded by Gift David, also known as 2Baba.
