Shocking: Terrorists allegedly deploy helicopter, kill 32 in Kaduna

Suspected bandits allegedly deployed helicopter and attack about four communities in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state where over 32 persons were killed on Thursday.

According to locals, the gunmen invaded Ungwan Gamu, Dogon Noma, Ungwan Sarki and Maikori in Southern Kaduna on Thursday.

Journalists were told by the District Head of Kufena, Titus Dauda, that the gunmen attacked the communities on Sunday killing over 32 people, adding that a church and many other houses were set ablaze by the bandits.

The community head said, “the bandits first attacked Dogon Noma in the early hours of Sunday and killed many people mostly men, before proceeding to Ungwan Gamu and Maikori villages where they also killed people and burnt down houses.”

“The victims have been laid to rest while the affected communities have been deserted by the residents due to fear of being attacked.”

In same vein, residents claimed a helicopter was seen shooting at people from the air, while the some other bandits were on the ground attacking fleeing residents.

According to him, the military engaged the bandits both by ground and air in fierce battle which eventually forced the bandits to retreat and helicopter to flee.

Meantime, there has not been any official statement from the Nigerian army.
