Two vigilantes killed, private security guard abducted

Suspected gunmen have killed two local hunters serving as community guards in Yola, Adamawa State.

It was learnt that the gunmen also abducted a private security guard during their operation in the area.

The incident happened on Wednesday evening along Barracks Road, Jimeta, Yola.

The killed vigilantes were described as veterans of Boko Haram war being brave fighters.

However, the spokesman of Adamawa Police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the command had deployed anti-kidnapping squad to rescue the abducted security operative and to round up the culprits.
