Following the protest that rocked Enugu by traders obeying Sit-at-home, about three persons were reportedly shot dead on Wednesday, July 26, at Ogbete Market.

According to information, the protest occured followed by the close down of some shops and offices by the state government on Monday.

Recall, the Enugu state government had declared that any businesses that failed to open on Monday over its ban on Illegal sit-at-home order imposed by Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, should be closed.

The market traders stormed the streets on Wednesday morning displaying their displeasure on sealing of their shops by the state government for not opening for business on Monday.

However, the protest turned bloody as three persons reportedly shot dead.

The incident was affirmed by DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the Enugu state Police Public Relations Officer.
