Sokoto State Explosion Kills Four

At least four persons have gave up the ghost in the fresh explosion that had rocked Sokoto State, in the North West Nigeria.

According to residents, the explosion was first alleged to be return of armed bandits.

A resident who pleaded anonymity stated that when he heard the loud explosion, he thought it was the bandits that were on rampage.

He asserted that it was when he saw people running towards a welder’s workshop where the explosion happened that when his mind was at rest that it was not terrorists attack.

According to information, the exposition was from a welder workshop, which left four people dead and many injured.

DSP Sanusi Abubakar, the state police command confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday.

Sanusi maintained that the explosion was not in connection to the security challenges bedeviling the area, but as a result of an explosion from a cylinder in the shop of a local welder.

However, the Police Spokesperson said that four persons dead while three others sustained injuries and are in critical condition.
