Surpreme court victory: Group urges Ibori to unite Deltans, support Oborevwori to deliver ‘MORE’ agenda

A renowned non-governmental organisation, the Elites for Good Governance (EGG) has urged Chief James Onanefe Ibori to unite the people of Delta State as well as support the governor, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his MORE Agenda to move the State forward.
This is according to a statement by its National President, Engr. Ogie Samson during a chat with journalists today 19th January,2024 in Warri.
The statement reads, “We are using this medium to appreciate Chief Onanefe James Ibori to continue his good work and also to make him understand that he is a father to the State and that as a father. We expect him to unite the State because we are also looking up to him for continuous support for RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and the good people of Delta State.”
The call is coming on the heel of the today’s 19th January Supreme Court affirmation of the election victory of the State Governor.
The group remarked, “Delta state does not need political instability but continuous trend of PDP faithfuls.”
Engr. Ogie appreciated the efforts of stakeholders supporting the developmental strides as well as the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Board.
He said Governor Oborevwori has constructed major access roads and street lights.
Engr. Ogie, who is also the chairman of the Indigenous Contractors Forum in DESOPADEC added that the governor had also ensured “structural payments” as well as maintained a cordial relationship with the indigenous contractors in the Commission.
He therefore appealed to the leaders and stakeholders to continue the support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his administration saying, he means well for the people.
Ogie said the likes of Chief Oghenekome Okpobor, the Executive Director, Finance and Admin, Hon. Festus Ochonogo the Managing Director, Desopadec,Bashorun Askia, Hon. Agbanoritsewo Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Sunny Ofeoritse, the Commissioner representing itsekiri Ethnic Nationality appointed by the governor are doing the right job to move the MORE Agenda of governor to an Eldorado.
He commended the Olu of Warri Kingdom,Ogiame Atuwase III, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, the immediate past governor,Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa and other political stakeholders in the State for their fatherly roles and supports.
