Suspected hoodlums have invaded the Bobougbene community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday night.

The incident reportedly occurred at 3 am in the night when the victim was fast asleep.

It was gathered that the hoodlums broke into the house of one Mr. Titi Dennis and stole his 9.9 engine and five jerricans of oil.

The engine and the five jars of oil were kept in the storehouse which is some metres away from the main house of the victim.

It was also learnt that several other items are still missing in the community.

A concerned resident who spoke to Congress correspondent called on Delta State Waterways and Land Security Operatives to swing into action to fish out the culprits and ensure they face justice.

He also called on community heads, youths and vigilante groups around various riverine communities in the area to be vigilant about bringing the suspects to book.

However, the issue is yet to be reported to the Burutu police divisional headquarters.
