Suspected robbery kingpin killed in Delta

A suspected robbery kingpin popularly known as Getay in Warri South council of Delta state has been killed by Policemen in the state.

Police spokesman Bright Edafe confirmed the development to newsmen in Warri on Monday.

According to Edafe, operatives of ‘B’ Division, Warri patrol team shot and wounded the notorious armed robber on Friday during a shootout.

“In the ensuing gun duel, Getay who is the leader of the gang, sustained gunshot injuries and was taken to the hospital where he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment,” he added.

Edafe emphasized that the command rescued a kidnapped victim at Ewhrekekan Junction in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.
