Travellers stranded as protesters block Ibadan-Akure-Abuja highway

Travellers of Ibadan-Akure-Abuja highway were stranded on Wednesday morning when angry students under the umbrella of the National Association of University Students (NAUS) blocked the ever-busy Ibadan-Akure-Abuja highway.

The students were said to have been protesting against the current ASUU strike action nationwide.

It was learnt the protest is currently causing serious traffic challenges as the entire expressway remained blocked and road users stranded.

However, the road is yet to be cleared by security officials at the time of filing this report.
