Tinubu appoints governing Boards For Universities

President Bola Amhed Tinubu has appointed Chairmen and members of governing boards of the Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State and other federal universities and tertiary institutions of learning.

Congress news learnt that, Mr Temi Harriman, former Member house of representative 2007 has been appointed as Chairman, and Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguele, Freeman Kasa and Babangida Alhassan Abdullahi as members of governing council of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko in Delta State.

Meanwhile, Rabe Mudi Bala as Chairman while Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu and Femi Osabinu will serve as members, Nigerian University of science and Technology, Abuja.

Bassam-Biri, Bayelsa, has Bram Baifa serving as Chairman while Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna and Christy Akpehuan-Omoruyi will serve as members, Federal University of Agriculture.

A statement by Tinubu’s Media Aide, Ajuri Ngelale on Wednesday, noted that the President expects the new members of the governing Council to carry out their functions effectively and efficiently within the ambits of their sphere of responsibilities.
