Tinubu Meets Ibori, Wike, Makinde In Villa

The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, the immediate past Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike and former governor of Delta state, James Ibori, have on Friday June 2, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu .

Mr president hosted the former governors and the current Governor of Oyo state at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Recall, when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the governor of Lagos state between year 1999-2007, James Ibori was also the governor of Delta state at that time.

During the 2023 presidential election, Wike and Makinde were the key members of G-5 governors who worked against their party Presidential candidate, Atiku.

However, Wike and Makinde contributed in no small measure to the victory of the president, Bola Tinubu.

When the president visited Governor Wike before handling the state power to the current Rivers state governor, Tinubu thanked Wike for contributing to his presidential election victory.
