US Imposes Visa Ban on Nigerian Politicians Who Sabotage 2023 Election

Following the 2023 general election, the United States of America government has affirmed that it has imposed restrictions on some Nigerians who sabotage the due process of 2023 election.

This is According to a statement by Antony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State.

Antony wrote in a tweet that the US government have imposed visa restrictions on specific individuals who undermined the democratic process during Nigeria’s 2023 elections.

He asserted that the development is to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy and the rule of law.

Recall, before the 2023 election, the United States had earlier warned that it would impose visa restrictions on any persons who sabotage the democratic process in the Nigerian general elections.

It was reported that same visa restrictions has-been placed on Nigerian Politicians in the past by United States of America government.
