You can’t disrupt May 29 inauguration, IG Warns Aggrieved Nigerians

As the transition of government draws close in Nigeria, the baton of power would be passed from President Muhammadu Buhari to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, the Inspector General of Police ( IGP ), Usman Baba, has warned any person who may have it in plan to interrupt the inauguration.

Usman Baba pledge that the Nigeria Police Force would always defend the country’s democracy at all costs.

During a media conference on Monday in Abuja, the Inspector General of Police, warned and made it clear that those plotting to mess up the inauguration ceremonies would be identified, promptly isolated, and brought to justice.

He maintained that the Police Force duty and legal bound is to defend the nation democratic heritage.

However, he assured the citizens that the police loyalty to democratic and political order remains firm and unwavering.
