Vote Buying: Police arrest two suspected coordinators with millions of naira

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected political agents with millions of naira in an attempt to buy delegates at the ongoing APC primary elections.

According to a report, delegates who were at the scene to receive the bribe escaped to the moon when sighting the police.

The police arrested the two coordinators following an intelligence report about illegal vote buying activities in the APC House of Assembly and Reps Primary Elections in Yola.

The security operatives had threatened to arrest politicians and delegates who are responsible of giving voters financial inducement in the state.

It was gathered the State Police Command had paraded the two agents with who were caught with millions of Naira concealed in a sack.

The police had assured the public to carry out further investigation to unravel the source of the money and politicians behind for further actions.

However, vote buying has weakened the people’s liberty and freedom to vote as it posed great threat to Nigeria’s democracy.
