“Special thanks also go to the pioneers of this foundation and all other leaders for your support, financially and otherwise. I will like to again thank the Edo and Delta State governments and all companies operating within Egbema kingdom for the part you have played in the youths development so far in the kingdom, though not enough.

“I plead with your continue support for my leadership we would succeed.

“The primary purpose for me as a president of Egbema Youth (EYC) Council is to sustain peace and achieve positive change for my people, and to do this we need to work together and love one another, as most of you know Egbema kingdom is one of the oldest kingdom in Ijaw Nation and we are peace loving people who have contributed our quarters in the nation struggle.

“However, despite being in oil sector, Egbema kingdom is still underdeveloped in many areas.
I am grateful to be elected to charge of the affairs of Egbema kingdom youths. I will work with the various communities youths presidents and the chairmen, the government and the companies representatives to address the issues threatened the development of our dear Egbema kingdom.

“I equally seize this medium to implore you to work with my successor and his team members more effectively to sustain the existing peace enjoyed so far within my administration. Note; when the leaders refuse to carry the youths along in the activities of things in this contemporary society, it may lead to abuse of law and order by the youths because we want to have sense of belonging especially things that concern us as youths, he stated.

Comrade Ebidouwei also expressed gratitude to God almighty, and respected leaders of the kingdom over the support during his administration.

His words, “Please permit me to use this ample opportunity to humbly express our heartfelt gratitude to God almighty, our late King, HRM. Gold E.O. Tiemo KSQ, JP The Agadagba of Egbema Kingdom, may his soul rest in perfect peace, the Chairman of the Egbema Council of Chiefs, Amb. Joel Bisina, Elder Edmund Tiemo, Engr. John Ekpe, Engr. Faye Igbiriki, Amb. Jude Ukori, Evans. Samson Fetimi, Amb. Meshach Ubabiri, Napoleon Egin Esq, Toruibe Agagha Esq, Hon. Inimoweri Etuwatimi, Engr. Mewariwei Boye, Egbema peace keeping and security outfit and the immediate past President Amb. Bright Maya and his team to mention but few for their historic roles they played.

We cannot also ignore the fact that Alex Kiri and Prince Brakemiye Igbiriki were the patriots who named this noble body which I was opportuned to be the first elected President to serve the good youths of Egbema Kingdom.

“My goal which was termed “FOCUS” was 90% accomplished without missing a word and some of the achievements came through because of your collective effort and not ours as executives alone.

“Thus, our working together as a team in thick and thin prepared us to enviable height, which includes the issuance of a certificate of recommendation from our demised King, and we are now been recognised by the three tiers of government, non-governmental organisations and amongst others based on the fact that we were persistence and FOCUSED.

“NON-CAPITAL PROJECTS: With the massive support and encouragement of the leadership of Egbema Kingdom during my administration, a large number of persons were enrolled into the Federal Government’s vulnerable household’s empowerment programme and 286 persons are now receiving monthly stipends, and more than a thousand names had been approved for further inclusion to receive same payment.

This is in line with our mission statement that; we shall carry everybody along including the less privileged. CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMMES: Some of our Community youths President and other stakeholders were invited to the city to partake in a leadership training programmes through Centre for peace and environmental justice and Africa youth parliament.

The said trainings improved our modus operandi and created positive impact in our lives that propelled our burning desire to transform our various Communities. Additionally, 16 youths were also trained against illegal immigration via the National Orientation agency in the year 2020.

“Again, another 20 of our youths were trained by The Foundation for Partnerships Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) within 2021/2022 on various skills and eleven participants successfully completed the programme. Another 2 persons were trained by DESOPADEC and they just completed their programme recently as well. Let me boldly reflect what I said on the 15th day of July 2017 that I keenly believe we will be able to work and stand up for freedom together in harmony, knowing that we shall be free in the shortest time frame within my administration.

Now is the time to lift our kingdom from the quagmire of social and political injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood and tranquillity and I am glad today that, our little efforts had navigated the political process which led to the emergence of our brothers as secretary for the second time and our first local Government chairman respectively since 1991, these remarkable achievements were attained through our strong support to our leaders in the kingdom with protest repeatedly.” He maintained.

The goodwill message was given by Comrade Ozobo Austin, the Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state on political matters.

Ozobo while appreciating the effort of the outgoing youths leadership, said the incoming youths leadership should strive to do better than its predecessor.
