It has been three days now when suspected travellers were abducted by alleged herdsmen along Sapele-Warri Road but information about the whereabouts of the abductees is still sketchy.

Our correspondents gathered that there has been no contact established between the families and the abductors after three days the travellers were whisked away.

The situation is causing palpable apprehension among families and residents in the environs of Warri and Sapele.

Congress learnt suspected Fulani herdsmen on Saturday attacked travelers along the popular Sapele-Warri road in Delta State.

An eye witness said the herdsmen kidnapped a yet to be ascertained number of travelers during the attack.

A victim who escaped being kidnapped, added that the herdsmen who attacked them in large numbers, hit him with a gun and whisked away his family.

He however, called on security agents to rekindled efforts to help free his family who are in captivity.
