Why US strikes Taliban at Kabul

The United States has said she struck Kabul to clear the evacuation site of Afghanistan International Airport of the activities of ISIS-K.

US president, Biden, who disclosed this in a media briefing on Saturday, said the activities of the Islamic group, ISIS-K if not properly checked might cause chaos in US citizens’ evacuation efforts in Afghanistan.

Congress gathered that the Talibans had on Tuesday attacked US soldiers and other civilians at the Kabul International Airport.

Following the Taliban’s attack on US soldiers, president Joe Biden had earlier threatened a sweeping attack on Taliban forces rampaging in Afghanistan.

US military source said the strike was targeted at the ISIS-K and scores of the target were killed in the coordinated strike.
