Wigwe’s Funeral Holds In Rivers Under Tight Security

The remains of former Chief Executive Officer of Access bank Plc, late Dr Herbert onyewunbu Wigwe, his wife, Doreen, and son, Chizzy body have arrived at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State for the funeral service, high dignitaries, guests and hundreds of sympatizers have started tripping in the community.

Congress news learned from a reliable source that the state commissioner of police, Olatunji Disu, had led security men to the venue.

Traditional rulers and members of the clergy from the Omoeke, Wigwe’s hometown and monarchs from Isiokpo, in general, are already seated.

Family members and friends and sympatizers accompanied the Christian procession organised in honour of the deceased in the community on Friday.

Wigwe, his wife, son, and a former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, died on February 9, 2024, in a aircraft, occurred near a border town between California and Nevada, United States.
