Wike under fire over failure to attract investors in Rivers

The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has come under fire for its failure to attract any foreign investments in the first quarter of this year.

This happens as the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics in its report said only Lagos, Oyo, Katsina, Anambra states, and the Federal Capital Territory attracted investments during the period.

In the meantime, the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State through its publicity secretary, Chris Finebone said the Wike-led administration had no policy on the ground to attract foreign investment into the state.

Briefing newsmen, the publicity secretary of the PDP in Rivers State, Hon. Tamburi Sidney faulted the yardstick used by the National Bureau of Statistics in its report.

He said Rivers State Government under the leadership of Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike had done so much to attract foreign investment into the state.
