40 Feared Dead In Yobe Fatal Auto Crash

Not less than 40 people have given up the ghost in a fatal accident that occurred in Nangere, Yobe state.

According to information, the sad incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday along Nangere – Potiskum road in Yobe state.

Witnesses said that the accident happened when a cattle truck from Buduwa village in Jakusko Local Government Area collided with another vehicle on its way to Potiskum.

A witness who was simply identified as Mallam Barde, stated that the trailer was overspeeding and for that reason lost control.

“The trailer was over-speeding and lost control and hit another car which is Canter model and crushed over 20 people and injured many,” he said.

Another source said the trailer also crushed victims who fell from the car which led to an unidentified number of deaths and many sustained degrees of injury.

However, at the time of filling this report, there was no official confirmation by the Federal Road Safety Corps and other security outfits.
