Ozobo congratulates Pondi, Mutu, Asupa, Guwor, and Oloye on victories at PDP primary elections in Delta

The Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on political matters, Comr Ozobo Austin has congratulated the winners of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, primary elections held on Sunday in the state.

The elections which were conducted in different local governments in Delta State returned Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi to participate in the 2023 general elections with a score of 22 votes to beat his rivals to pick the Reps ticket in Burutu Federal Constituency, Mutu also won with a landslide to emerge as the party’s flagbearer in Bomadi/Patani Constituency, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta scored 10 votes to clinch the Assembly ticket in Burutu North Constituency; Peres Oloye scored 10 votes to grab his Assembly ticket in Burutu South Constituency.

Ozobo, in his congratulatory message to all the winners, said: “I congratulate Pondi, Mutu, Asupa, Guwor and Oloye for their well-deserved victories at the polls which were witnessed with all fairness. I thank the PDP National Chairman, together with the Delta State organ of the party as they remained neutral in the process. I congratulate the PDP family in Delta State who has given the state the most peaceful and credible process of choosing a candidate.”

Okowa’s aide, Ozobo also commended other contestants that participated in the party’s primary elections for their hard work and sacrifices.

Ozobo also called on them not to be deterred by the outcomes of such polls, adding that the impacts they had made were sacrifices for a new beginning.

He admonished them to join hands with the party to deliver the winners of the party tickets for the general elections come 2023.
