Following a statement by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that security operatives should be ready to crush oil thieves, Niger Delta Stakeholders have told Mr president that if he meant his words, he should be ready to offend many people.

The stakeholders told President Tinubu that such words are not just coming for the first time from Nigerian presidents.

They urge Tinubu to be settled and study the real issues before ordering security operatives to deal with oil thieves.

The group advised Mr president to identify, expose and prosecute top security officers, both serving and retired, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Politicians involved in oil theft.

It was alleged by the stakeholders that some government officials from the villa colluded with oil theft cabals in the past.

They maintained that oil theft uses technology to steal, therefore President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must also use technology to apprehend them and prevent them from stealing crude oil.
