A socio-political advocacy group, Concerned Sons and Daughters of Isoko Kingdom for Good Governance, has warned politicians seeking votes in Isoko Kingdom ahead of the 2027 general elections to show “visible development projects” or risk rejection at the polls.

In a statement released to journalists on Tuesday, April 29, 2026, the group’s Coordinator, Gen. Omogha Wilson Ajiri, said the era of “self-centered politicians” tricking Isoko people for votes without tangible development is over.

“Enough is enough. Isoko people will only vote for development, no compromise,” Ajiri stated. “Any person or group of persons that needs the votes of Isoko Kingdom — ranging from the President, Governor, Senator, Federal House of Representatives, State House of Assembly or a Local Government Council Chairman — should start a visible project in Isoko Kingdom to show respect, as they say it is reciprocal.”

The group called on political leaders, elected office holders from Isoko, traditional rulers, religious leaders, the Isoko Development Union (IDU), community President-Generals, and “all well-meaning indigenes” to set aside personal interests and join forces to prioritize the development of Isoko Kingdom.

Ajiri stressed that the organisation’s doors remain open to “like minds for collaboration” to engage the Delta State Government and ensure Isoko Kingdom secures its “fair place” in government appointments, employment, and youth empowerment.

“We remain committed to the development of Isoko Kingdom and the larger Delta State,” he said.

According to the statement, the group is known for “championing the cause for the development of Isoko Kingdom” and will mobilise constituents to demand accountability. It insisted that political aspirants at all levels must demonstrate commitment through projects before expecting electoral support in 2027.

“Start a visible project in Isoko Kingdom to show respect,” Ajiri said, adding that the warning applies to all offices from the presidency to local government chairmanship.

Isoko Kingdom comprises Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas in Delta State, with a significant voting population in Delta South Senatorial District. The area has in recent years witnessed agitation over infrastructure, employment, and political inclusion.

The group’s position signals rising voter consciousness and sets development-based conditions for political support ahead of the 2027 elections.
