A disturbing case of alleged human trafficking and organ mutilation has sparked outrage after a 19-year-old girl from Delta State was reportedly trafficked to Ivory Coast for prostitution and later returned to Nigeria without her womb.

According to sources familiar with the incident, the teenager was allegedly deceived and transported out of the country by a human trafficking syndicate under the guise of securing a better future abroad. However, upon arrival in Ivory Coast, she was reportedly forced into prostitution.

The young victim was said to have resisted involvement in the illicit trade, a decision that allegedly angered members of the trafficking network. In a shocking turn of events, the syndicate reportedly subjected her to abuse, injected her with unidentified substances, and allegedly carried out a procedure that resulted in the removal of her womb before sending her back to Nigeria.

The horrifying development has generated widespread condemnation from concerned citizens and rights advocates, many of whom are calling for urgent intervention by security agencies and anti-human trafficking authorities.

Human rights activists have described the incident as a brutal reminder of the dangers posed by transnational human trafficking syndicates, particularly to vulnerable young women and girls seeking opportunities outside the country.

Stakeholders are urging the relevant authorities, including the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and other security agencies, to launch a thorough investigation into the matter, identify those responsible, and ensure they are brought to justice.

The case has also renewed calls for increased public awareness, stronger border monitoring, and intensified campaigns against human trafficking across Nigeria and West Africa.

Meanwhile, sympathizers have continued to express concern over the physical and emotional trauma allegedly suffered by the victim, while demanding justice and adequate medical and psychological support for her recovery.
