JUST IN: Ijaw Women Rights Protection Forum Set for Official Unveiling in Warri Today

The Ijaw Women Rights Protection Forum will hold its official unveiling and inauguration ceremony today, Thursday 25th June, 2026, in Warri, Delta State. Organizers say the event is aimed at launching the leadership structure of the forum and outlining its mandate to promote, protect, and advance the rights and welfare of Ijaw women and children across the Niger Delta.
According to the invitation, the ceremony will take place at TM Event Centre along Airport Road, Warri, Delta State, by 12 noon. Stakeholders, community leaders, women groups, and members of the public have been cordially invited to attend and witness the formal commencement of activities of the official inauguration of the body.
The forum is expected to serve as a platform for advocacy, empowerment, and inclusion of Ijaw women in community development and decision-making processes. Officials of the forum have not released the full list of dignitaries expected, but they note that the event will feature goodwill messages, the inauguration of the leadership, and presentations on the group’s objectives for the coming year.
